We are a Social Action Hub funded by DCMS as part of the national Community Organisers Expansion programme. We train and support people to reach out and listen to people, connect and motivate others to build collective power to take action for social justice.
We host the 1000 Lives Community Champions Network which brings people together for mutual support and to share skills, resources, knowledge, opportunities and enthusiasm to make North Staffordshire a better place to live for everyone. We are supporting the Network’s new Local Organising Group to develop a Local Community Organising Action Plan.
We coordinate the Women’s Peacemaker project, mentoring women to plan and take action on community and personal safety in Stoke on Trent.
We work with community members, community leaders and professionals who support and engage communities.
Our asset based community mentoring programme offers 1:1 and facilitated peer group mentoring for community practice.
We are leading the community learning, history, organising and arts activities for the Under One Roof project as partners of St Mark’s Church in Shelton Stoke-on-Trent, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
These include our Got It Want It resource exchange activity.
We provide Community Conversation workshops to encourage people to help WAVE Goodbye to Loneliness, as part of Stoke on Trent’s partnership approach to preventing loneliness.
