- a local hub for Community Organising, community asset sharing and peer mentoring in North Staffordshire.
We are a Social Action Hub affiliated to Community Organisers Ltd and members of the National Academy of Community Organising. We train and support people to reach out and listen to people, connect and motivate others to build collective power to take action for social justice.
We host the 1000 Lives Community Champions Network which brings people together for mutual support and to share skills, resources, knowledge, opportunities and enthusiasm to make North Staffordshire a better place to live for everyone. We support the Network’s Local Organising Group .
We coordinated the Women’s Peacemaker project, mentoring women to plan and take action on community and personal safety in Stoke on Trent.
We work with community members, community leaders and professionals who support and engage communities.
Our asset based community mentoring programme offers 1:1 and facilitated peer group mentoring for community practice.
We are leading the community heritage programme of activities for the Under One Roof project as partners of St Mark’s Church in Shelton Stoke-on-Trent, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
In partnership with Totally Stoked we host regular Community Share Network events. These include our Got It Want It resource exchange activity.
We provide Community Conversation workshops to encourage people to help WAVE Goodbye to Loneliness. We co-chair the North Staffs Loneliness Partnership.
All the Small Things is a Community Interest Company, established in January 2015. We are a collective of community development practitioners based in North Staffordshire, passionate about seeing people transform their localities in creative & innovative ways.
The breadth of experience within the team covers: voluntary sector management including: trustees, health and social care planning and commissioning, management of volunteers, youth work, community development practice and management, equality and diversity, mentoring and coaching, events management, community arts, training and education, research and academia.
All the Small Things is driven by a heart-felt commitment to tackling inequalities by enabling people to have as much control as they want over decisions and
actions that affect their lives. This is central to a healthy participatory democracy and sustainable, cohesive communities (Egan 2005).
We use visual, creative, inclusive methods to make sure that people who are seldom heard are able to contribute and take action for social justice.
